This is a truly special love story. It’s particularly dear to my heart because:

1. It’s true
2. It takes place in Oxford, England
3. CS Lewis has a cameo role

It’s the coming of age, the coming to Christ, and the coming together of two people while studying at the illustrious institution that is Oxford. CS Lewis is already one my heroes, and I loved reading about him through the eyes of this young couple who knew him, and were profoundly changed as a result of knowing him.

While this story is a romance – a real life romance – it’s also a depiction of struggle and intellectual wrestling with issues we face today. The story is timeless and full of heart. 5 stars.
