Follow Me

By Kathleen Barber

Oh my creepy goodness! First of all, this book is super relevant, with its Instagram famous main character. Secondly, page by page, the reader is hooked by excellent story-telling and edge of your seat pacing.

The story is about Audrey the Instagrammer who moves to DC, where her old best friend lives. Unbeknownst to her, somebody else in town is thrilled to learn (via her insta post) that she is moving to his hometown too. Friendship is rekindled and Audrey starts a very cool new job. Everything is great until a bit of techno-creeping ensues.

The questions raised by this story are questions we should all be talking about today. How much is too much to share on social media? How well should you get to know someone before you trust them? Is someone always watching us? What steps should we take to protect ourselves from online predators?

The characters are well drawn, and they felt very real. In fact, I found myself talking to them out loud as I read. “No! Do not go in there!” I read the last half of the book under my blanket! (well, I felt like I should have, anyway) So twisty!

This book will generate great discussion – tell your book club!

Want to grab your own copy? You can snag one here – the book releases February 25th!

Content: some f-bombs in really big scenes, but overall not too much language. Sex occurs off the page, there are several scenes “after.”
